In order to renew your license, you'll need to prove that you completed four hours of continuing education in the field. Licensed plumbers must present their license at the class to receive credit for the training. Please remember to sign in and out of your plumbing CEU class, providing your correct plumbing license ID number. Failure to do so will result in you not receiving any credit for the class even if you have a certificate of completion.

Sample license ID numbers:

  • Illinois Licensed Plumbers: 058-****** (Do NOT put the certificate number!)
  • Chicago Licensed Plumbers: J*****
  • If you have both types of plumbing licenses, you MUST put both license ID numbers on the roster when you sign in.
